This is a jade ceremonial dagger dating back almost 3,000 years! Xuzhou, China, Western Zhou Dynasty, 1046–771 BC.
Found in a Zhou Dynasty tomb. This is not a simple dagger; it was attached to a shaft like an axe. The holes in the handle (shaped like a phoenix) are for attachment. Length: 29.2 cm, width: 5 cm.
